Seven of the Petersfield Town Juniors were selected by Portsmouth Advanced Training Centre (ATC) to play for the Amsterdam Cup in Holland over the weekend. Elliot Carande, Johnny Crane, Will Essai, Alex Godwin, Nick Harvey, Ashley Peck and Chris Scarlett were packed on to a coach leaving Fratton Park in the early hours of Friday morning to catch their flights to Amsterdam.

The boys were proud playing in the Pompy strip against teams from Ireland, Holland and England. Nick Evens, coach said, "all the boys played very well, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 1, making them 3rd in their group". Nick added, "Alex Godwin and Chris Scarlett really showed their potential".

Ian Essai, Chairman of Petersfield Town Juniors said, "it's great to see so many boys from our club being selected by Pompy's ATC for international tournaments like these", Mr Essai added, "It provides so much experience for the youngsters, well done to all the boys"
