Petersfield Town Juniors Six-A-Side Tournament Rules 2010 |
1.
1. All players must be under their respective age limits on 1st August of the year preceding the tournament. All Managers must have with them valid photographic identification of all of their players. Any team found to be in breach of this rule would be disqualified from the tournament.
2. Managers must hand their team sheets to the person in the Control tent at least 30 minutes before the kick off of their first match. This will be indicated on the team sheet and in the programme.
3. The trophies shall remain the property of Petersfield Town Juniors Football Club. If a team wishes to take a trophy with them after the competition then the team manager or representative of the club must sign a declaration.
4. All winners and runners up will receive individual trophies. All under 7 players will receive medals.
5. The tournament will be run on a league basis with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the knockout stage unless stated otherwise on the play lists. This is with the exception of the Under 7 age group which will be played in a festival format.
6. Only the players are allowed within the roped area during the duration of play. If a player is injured Managers and their assistants have to remain outside the roped area until summoned on by the referee.
7. Points in league matches shall be awarded as 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.
8. If a match has to be awarded due to it not being played, then the score of 1-0 will be used
9. The Rules and Laws of the Football Association shall apply with the following exceptions:
Þ Nine players may be nominated for Under 7, 8, 9, 10 boys and all the Girls age groups
Þ All other age groups may nominate eight players
Þ Six players shall be chosen to form a team for each match, one of which must be the goalkeeper
Þ No player shall be nominated for more than one team in the same tournament on the same day
Þ There will be no offside
Þ The back pass rule will not apply to the Under 7 age group
Þ Goal kicks shall be taken from the goal line in all age groups - except the Under 7‘s, they will use the penalty area line
Þ The first named team on the referee’s score card must supply the match ball and will kick off the first half.
Þ All opposing players are at least 5 yards at free or place kicks
Þ Under 7s and 8s will play with a size 3 football, Under 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s and 14s with a size 4 football and Under 15s and 16s with a size 5 football.
10. Three rolling substitutes may be used for the Under 7, 8, 9, 10 and all Girls age groups at any time during the match with the permission of the referee. All other age groups may use up to two substitutes, which will be allowed at half time, or through injury at the discretion of the referee.
11. Any player sent off the field of play will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament
12. Any player cautioned twice on the day will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament following completion of the match in progress at the time of the second caution.
13. The duration of play shall two equal periods of 5 minutes for all games in the league sections, quarter finals and semi finals. Players are requested to be at the pitch 5 minutes before kick off.
14. The finals shall be two equal periods of 7 minutes
15. In the event of teams finishing equal on points in the league stage, the following will decide the position:
Þ The team scoring the greater number of goals. If still level
Þ The team with the greater goal difference. If still level
Þ The league results between the two teams. If still level
Þ A play off ( see rules 13 & 16 )
16. In the event of a draw at full time in the quarter finals, semi finals or finals the following will take place until a winner is found:
Þ Two equal periods of three minutes extra time shall be played. If still level
Þ Best of 5 penalties per team. If still level
Þ Sudden death penalties
Þ The Goalkeeper and five outfield players at the end of extra time shall remain unchanged for the penalty kicks. No player shall take more than one penalty kick until each member of the team has taken one kick. If further kicks are required the same principal applies but the sequence The goalkeeper and five outfield players at the end of extra time shall remain unchanged for the penalty kicks. No player shall take more may be altered.
17. In the event of two teams having similar colours and being drawn together, the team shown as second on the draw sheet shall change.
18. The referee’s decision on all points of play shall be final
19. All disputes and protests to a particular game must be received in writing (on the appropriate form) at the Control tent within 10 minutes of the end of that game. The Tournament committee will make a decision as soon as all the relevant facts have been gathered and will be based on the best interest of all parties. No appeal shall be made against that decision.
20. Any other points arising will be dealt with by the tournament committee whose decision will be final.
